JAMES HARDEN sparked the Oklahoma City Thunder off the bench to get even with the Memphis Grizzlies, 111-102, in the Western Conference semifinal on Tuesday.
The Thunder reserves combined for only 16 points in their Game 1 loss. They tripled that total this time with Harden contributing 21 points.
Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 26 points while Russell Westbrook accounted for 24.
But it was their bench that spelled the difference. Harden scored seven points and Eric Maynor hit three triples in a decisive 18-6 run at the start of the fourth period that gave the Thunder a 94-74 lead.
Game 3 is in Memphis on Saturday.
